Hi, im using dbpower amp, which is good when all said and done. It does also seem to be the only freeware file converter out their, but i dont think it`s all that good at compressin ogg files as i had another file converter(on evaluation trial) which was called "aces high"
Now this file converter didn`t look all that fancy but it could compress ogg files to 1/3 the size of mp3`s without losing any sound quality, Which is really handy on a phone with limited memory space.

i found out by myself - gee's man i'm getting good! only one more prob though! -

when converting to ogg everyone seems to say that you loose no sound quality which is quite right as ive had a listen on myp900 which seems to sound just great! but they also say their smaller and should take up less space! so what am i doing wrong when i convert them from mp3 to ogg they r growing by 3000kb - one song was 4185kb now an ogg @ 8125kb why is this???

Use 64kbits for your ogg files this is comparable to 128 kbits mp3 so you get half the file size but the same audio quality if ripping straight from a cd

You need to set your .ogg vorbis settings to about 48kbps and make sure the encoding is set to constant bitrate, frequency should be set at about 4410Hz
These settings should be able to be adjusted either on the options menu or on the screen before you start to convert.
Hope this helps
As for the person who wants to convert .asf just try google.com and search for .asf converters.
PEACE
