I am fairly sure the release date would be the 15th of July, although i could have been mislead. But i have asked Mobile Stop numerous times in the last month and they have replied with, recently, that it had been going through network testing etc and would be released in july probably within first 2 weeks. I rang them and talked to them online today and they have both said 15th of July (this is first time they have given an exact date) was the due date that they had been given by SE.
also other online retailers have told me the start of july sometime but, eh.
http://www.stop.com.au - here is the URL
I hope the release date doesn't get pushed back further!

Once again SE have updated the aust website, this time including the k700 in the homepage lineup. Hopefully the wait wont be much longer. However, with the 15 July press release soon to arrive, I may wait until them to make a decision.

Yeah.. it's a bit frustraiting, especially when the Nokia handsets seem to come out so quickly. The Nokia 6230 was everywhere just after release, and has come down in price just as fast. I am surprised even by how recent the release of the 7610 in Australia is, not so long after its announcement.
Nokia handsets have saturated the stores lately, the T630 and "new" T230 just dont cut it in the store line up, what with the Nokia 6230 and 3200 as their direct compeditors.
With SE, we can keep wishing. The route to market with this new platform (Z1010, K700, F500) has been delayed and taken so long – you have to wonder whether SE have the resources to capture a significant part of the mobile market share, let alone release phones on time!

I wouldn't mind being partner in an aussie mobile phone shop either.
I bet we'd make a good job together!
