hi all

@ bobba

Do you know if there's any way to find those codes out online, OTHER than asking your operator (they're a lil slow...) Cuz that function is simply NOT available for ANY phone i've tried on my network. See this thread...

Oh my bad, Cyber seems to know everything, maybe I shoulda asked him (sorry man, I'm just predisposed to dislike people with a holier than thou attitude, we're all here to learn a lil something, I don't give a shit how experienced you are)

@bacanito well, its at every single operator different. here in hungary for example on vodafone u have to setan "?" before the message itself, at t-mobile "*a#". it could have changed, i used them pretty long time ago last. the operators should tell u the right ones. thats all i can suggest. dont think, that there is an international code for all operators for this feature.

Since most operators around the world uses different codes there's no universal ones that are obvious to work for everyone out there.

Never seen a list of all the codes - such list would most likely be obsolete in a short time since codes change and new operators appear from time to time.

thank you kindly Cyber

I was just wondering because some gsm codes are universal, like ##002#, #31#, *#06# among others...

@bacanito: In Sweden, using Telia, you can add *KV# to get a receipt and *HN# to hide your own phone number.

So, as bobafett wrote in his previous post, it's likely to assume that every service provider provides their own such "codes".

@bico & bobbafett

these codes have to be done while the phone is idle before going to the sms menu or starting your sms like that, or the code before the number, or....?

Can't think of another way to go about it...

@bacanito: I'm sorry, I forgot to mention that... .

No, the "code" has to be prepended to the short message itself.

So, you enter the SMS menu and enter "Write new" or equal. Then you begin the short message with the appropriate "code".

The above applies for Telia, in Sweden.

@bacanito same here in hungary as in other countries like @bico mentioned. Think this feature has been released when fones came to the market with report feature in them, so the operators offered it for fones without it. As i remember r520 and t39 was the first /// fones, nokias had it before the release of those both. This message was posted from a T630
