To activate the bug
1. Text -> write new
2. More-> spell word
3. type : -D and the smiley will appear, the D must be caps, d = wont work.
4. sometimes at this point, left or right will already reset the phone...

When I read this thread on WAP in the train, I tried it - and it did not restart. However, later on I tried what dovern describes above, just not using the "spell", I wrote it directly into the message. When the smiley came, I did a joystick right, and it restars...
my firmware is R2A041.

No problems with mine. As far as I know the K700i's on the UK Orange Network are running on R2C001, but they also have added customisation by Orange that means they have little icons on their standby screen along the left hand side.

no probs with mine. On R2A041 firmware as well which is strange. Maybe it is because of the service provider's customisations? My phone is an O2 one.
