at the end of the day all networks have problems not just o2 trust me as i have had my fair share of probs with t-moble and orange much worse then you i am not ganna go in to them here but at the end of the day we are only human and errors happen.

I just think it's a great shame as if they could sort out their customer services (and if you happen to work in that area, it might be worth taking some comments on board, as my gripes seem to be echoed by many) then they would have the best service I've ever used. Certainly better coverage than I experienced with Orange, Vodafone or my brief dalliance with 'one-2-no one'!
To go even further of topic, BT genie used to have a facility where you could chat online live to a customer service rep. Fantastic idea and an easy way to get things solved. It was taken off line when they became O2, presumably for security or cost reasons. A real shame really, as a company that operates online should be at the fore front on on line technology. It seems that they don't even have a decent server as quite often, and before you've given any identifying information you are greeted with 'Can you call back in a few hours please, our computers are down'. Sad really....
