> Why no "normal" ringtones on K700?

The K700i supports MP3's as ringtones, why do you want a monophonic ringtone?
If it bothers you that much either record an old phone playing a monophonic ringtone or just look for an MP3 file of an old phone ringtone.

I got your point, but se should support and present it by itself. Nordic theme, mix, low or high even in midi or poly format. Its not a big deal imho.

From all the tones provided by SE, I would *maybe* consider using one or two, the rest are just silly or cheesy IMO.
It was a bit of an oversight to not add more simple lowkey alerts. Was in a different office today for work and heard the most stupid sounding musical ringtones - WHY!!!!! I cant understand the joy people get from using the theme from the A-Team or the fitty-cent tune 'Its your birthday" for their ringtone.

this is the first time I heard anyone complain about fancy ring tones. Is usually someone wanting a fancy message alert tone that is usually complaining.

I have never understood why someone would want the phone playing music for them for a short time before picking up. If I want to listen to some music I turn on my car stereo or whatever. Also, people are annoyed by those silly tones in public places. I just want my phone to have a good normal tone that's descreet but that I will hear loud and clear without drawing other peoples attention.
In a couple of years people will look back on this matter laughing at having had their favorite song playing for about 5 seconds before picking up.
Last but not least:
Some people do spend time and money on finding their favorite "song" to use in their phone. Then, when it do ring on the bus or wherever, they get embaressed and hurry answering while mumbling something about that "damn music".[ This Message was edited by: CyberVisitor on 2004-07-14 13:53 ]
