Ok.
If you can find your phone, the next step is to pair the two devices (phone and PC).
Do it from the PC side. Then a key should be asked. Enter anything (like "6565") and then the phone will prompt you for a key. You should then enter the key you used earlier.
Now the two devices should be paired.

Now you can connect a BT serial port. After the connection is successfull a window should appear telling you wich (virtual) COM port is being used.
Now just check this port on the phone monitor settings.

Write any number you like.
You'll the be asked to type it again on the other device.

Once you have paired your phone with your PC and added a BT Serial Port in the BT Properties (local services). You should see a Port number listed for the Serial Port. Mine is Port 4.
Then in the phone connection manager, just put a tick by Bluetooth Port 4 (or whatever it is on your PC) and your phone should be automatically recognised when it comes into BT range.

Works for me with a SE P800 and a Belkin 'Dongle'

hey .. whats the most common reason that a bluetooth dongle and a phone (in my case Z600) might not be able to see each other, although they used to and nothing has changed??
