No, S710a is GSM850/1800/1900 instead of GSM900/1800/1900. GSM 850 replaces the 900 band which is used mostly in the US. It seems this phone is made for the likes of AT&T and Cingular in the US, though I'm not sure if they will carry an expensive phone like the S710a or the P910a

@cmc
I'm extremely surprised that the s701a will be released in north america...although I have to wonder how many people will buy one...it will most certainly be extremely pricey and, like the p900 here in canada, you will only see them in the stores...thats besides the fact taht I don't particularly like that phone (s710) because it only looks good with the swivel closed...wouldn't dare make a call in public with that thing open!

even in american markets, there is an increasing desire for high end more expensive phones. So I would definitely hope network will pick it up.... but who knows

@marik
Don't need pics of that model, you already know what the S700 looks like, the appearance will most likely be the same, like it was between the t610 and t616.

I think it's great that SE decided to release an 850 version of the S700. They probably realized that there are high demands for their phones in NA and decided to fulfill it. Though I am slightly disappointed as the S700 will lose it's "exclusive" status compared to when the Z600 and K700 were released. Still great news nonetheless...

Wait to September (more precisely the 19:th Sept. it has been said). New phones will be released then. But don't know how many and if that includes "F700".
