I usually change phones about once every year. But recently, I think I've changed phones about 3 times within a 12 month period. It doesn't help with SE coming out with great phones one after another.
But as for my previous phones, I don't have my original phone (which was a Nokia 2190) but the oldest phone that I did get to keep is my 8890.

If I see a phone I like I will buy it.
So far within a 1 month period between them I've bought a T610, 2 T630's, P900 and a Haier P5.
Thinking of a K700 next week but dont know if its worth it or wait and see what is going to be available around Christmas time.

I change phones every 3 to 6 months once, depending on availability of new handsets. I never throw phones, some i keep and some i sell off.
