Hi Elliot.
SinglePoint are best avoided. That is a fact.
It sounds like the man in the Link knows his stuff.
I would ask for confirmation in writing that you can downgrade after 4 Months. As long as this is certain, go for it on the higher tariff and do the downgrade after 4 Months.
Regards.

Dont use singlepoint, Theyre a nightmare!! Ive just ended my contract with them and had such a hassle cancelling, getting a PAK code etc..
I got a K700i from phones 4u on orange (anytime 120 and 120 txts which are DOUBLED for first 6 months) for £33 pm. I also recieved £50 cash in hand for taking the deal (Pretty cool i thought) although i had to push for it. The Only problem is IT IS BRANDED!!! and im actually thinking about taking it back or sending it back to sony to get the original software installed (WHich i noticed someone had done already on these forums). Good luck with your hunting and let us know if u get a decent deal for an unbranded K700!.

Also used Singlepoint and they are nasty. Bad customer services.
Also I've had trouble with Phones4U when my girlfriends handset broke even under warranty.
I would stick with a normal shop ect. Orange, O2, Voda.
Switching over to O2 next month as their K700i are not branded (so much).

I'd recommend The Link as I got my O2 K700i from them and they gave me an unbranded phone. (which i didn't expect or ask for) B)
I'm really happy with them and my K700i!

I have been with singlepoint for about 6-7 years with a few problems but not many. I am however going to cancel my contract with them this weekend so I will see if I have as many problems with them when I try to leave! Let us know if you get an unbranded K700 because I am after one for my next phone.

I have just read in the buyers guide to The Link and CPW and they both state that they have a price promise. CPW is 7days and The Link is 14days. But you must buy the phone from them first and then take in written proof and you should get 120% refund of the difference in The Link and 110% from CPW (but only if acceptable to them)
I think it might be worth while to try that out if you have already bought your contract from The Link.

Well, I bought my K700 last week from the Link (148-150 Bishopsgate).
It's totally unbranded, inside and out.
I'm on Vodafone Connect Anytime 250. This is half price for the first 3 months (£15 instead of £30)
I can change my Tariff to Anytime 100 (£22 a month) after 4 months (I spoke to Vodafone to confirm this).
(I'm currently using the phone with my T Mobile SIM card. The PAK code switch should be finalized tomorrow, so then I'll be using my Vodafone SIM card.)

Nice one Elliot,
I work in Liverpool Street myself an all the phone shops are very helpful things like that than others near me.
If you register your phone online you can change your monthly minutes that way aswell.
