@forkliftdriver - I'm not stalking you, as I would have replied to the WiFi stuff alot earlier but I lost my new posts cache - funny that.
Anyhow WiFi at home is the dogs danglies, I'd recommand you have a wireless access point (WAP) combined ADSL router and run in whats called infrastucture mode (bridge mode used to boost signal in large areas (or between your neighbours

) with a Wireless USB card on your PC or built into your lappy you can flog on from anywhere in range as previously stated 802.11b is 10mb (same speed as an old coax bnc network) 802.11g is upto 50mb BUT remember your bottle neck is you ADSL link 500K? so don't fork out top dollar for 11g when you're just using it for 1 PC to connect to the web.
