The main rival for SE it's itself. SE needs to improve its fiability -see the first models of t68, t610, p800, p900.
If it will realize that, I don't see who will stay in its way.

I think SE biggest rival is Motorola. Simply because they make the same type of phones. Cool to look at, decent interface, good build quality and good screens / cameras. They're also aimed at the same market, the type of people who buy Moto and SE phones are the young and hip people who know their stuff when it comes to their phones technical features.
Samsung, Siemens and Nokia phones all seem to be bought by people who just buy a phone on looks alone, they dont tend to pay as much attention to what the phone can actually do.

Not Motorola, certainly not Siemens, not Samsung either...
Motorola and Siemens are not gonna get ahead simply because their menus arent very user friendly...in both cases, I remember assisting customers with both these brands and besides it being sometimes complicated, the menus change from one model to the other, sometimes drastically. Motorola does have SOME design going for them. Im still trying to figure out what pros Siemens have...
Samsung? Well, their strong point has and probably will always be the design. Other than that, I dont really like the navigation on their phones...not always very logic.
Nokia has a user friendliness that no one can deny (in previous models @ least). And their design is slowly getting better (that clamshell with pivoting screen looks pretty good).
The rest are just pawns in the mobile communications market...Sagem, SPV, LG, etc. Their there, but the don't cause any movement or excitement.
Final verdict : I agree with Mr Fett, Nokia is still and will be SE major competition for many years to come.
