Touch screens are not pressure sensitse as the stylus don't in to much a depth when pressed . So don't worry and freely work with your phone but protect it from others as others do not care for your phone as you do :-). This message was posted from a K700i

You all worry about your screen...ever thought about the STYLUS?
Presume a clean stylus and your screen keeps unscratched.
A tiny sharp cut in the stylus will f**k your screen, so just don't chew on it or replace it regularly or just keep it safe...
you get the picture

Imo,screen protectors are just false economy. They aren't necessary at all.I've had a p900,and currently use a 910....And i notice no screen mutilation at all. What's all the fuss about anyway....As long as the phone functions as required...It's all trivial and irrelevant. Some people must lead mundane/childless lifestyles....Get a job...Nurture your children...Life's to short to waffle on about the cosmetic appearance of a slightly scratched screen...Isn't it? True, true but, I hate the times when you write and the stylus feels like its scratching the screen... Its almost a pleasure to write when they don't!

Oh and yeh, my old palm m100 had a dodgy touch-screen when I was done with it. I jsut don't trust palm anymore 'cause I went through 3 of them before I got one that actually worked initially!

when my p900's origonal screen cracked in half i was a bit miffed and started stabbing at it with the stylus, which broke before the screen did! they are tough little buggers! and took a lot before it cracked again! (banging it against the corner of the car wash ticket machine at work!)

Its something that worries me, although it seems fairly sturdy my heart leaps into my mouth when someone is playing with my phone and they start STABBING at the screen, but it has held up to a fair bit of punishment to be fair.

I completely agree!!!

I am worry free with a screen protector. I would recommend it when you write on your screen. If you are only using 'tap' mode and are careful you don't need one.

There are other good reasons for using a protector, aside from actually protecting the screen. The matt surface provided by most of the protectors mean that:

- the 'feel' is more like writing on paper. Less slippery. Many people prefer this.

- no irritating reflections, which make it hard to read the screen if all you can see are the ceiling lights!

- the screen, without a protector, is a magnet for fingerprints, which means that if you do want to use your fingers to (for example) dial using the on-screen numers, you have to wipe the screen all the bloomin' time! With protector, there are no fingerprints, so I have no problem using some functions without the stylus.

So with the actual protection-from-scratches function as well, I would definitely advise anyone and everyone to buy one.
