well both are excellent phones BUT at the same time the two are very different, i mean if your friend doesn't need a touchscreen then surely 6600 is better for him, i mean what's the point of thread because i'm really getting tired of these debates, 6600 is a great if not an excellent phone the only negative point i see is the lack of stereo but then again it's not an ipod...

@Symbiatico

dun quite get what you mean in point 3. I am able to send multiples files using Tracker's fileman to my PC and T610 and receving multiple files sent out from my PC. I can also send out entire 200+ contacts to my T610 in one go.

Cheers

Yes, I know I can send multiple items using Tracker or SMan, but it's not possible using one of the built-in multimedia apps, like Picture Viewer, Video, or Music player.

Do you sometimes stop and think that maybe, Nokia can sometimes do something good? Dare I say, better than SE? Nokia's implementation of multi-tasking in their Symbian series 60 phones is better than SE's. There is simply no excuse why they should behave as such on the P900.

As for these being, as you call them "Minute details", I think they are more like annoyances. Suppose you're writing an email and wanted to copy and paste a little info from another app. Maybe a number or an address. When you go back to your email, the Messaging app takes you to the very begining, to the Accounts list! Tell me this is not annoying.

Maybe you're just editing a contact, or a Calendar entry, and had to switch to the Phone log to copy a number or something. When you get back to Contacts it takes you to the very beginning top of the list. Sad, not just annoying ...

I know these are "Minute details" because they are software issues. They are not serious enough for me to jump to a Nokia, or anything else, but I do wish they can be addressed in a simple update.

Cheers all.

wanne show that you've got no idea bout telecom and technology? then say that nokia is the best

just realize that the Pxxx phones from SE give so much more. nokia had a nice "wannebee killer" ready but they killed it (7700)

i dont actually think the p900 gives you much more practical everyday applications really you try taking it to the pub having a few pints then using your p900 not easy use a 6600 very easy

Nokia,are using the 7700 for trial only, at the moment(tv streaming).But the tried n tested model will hit the shelves next year.But at least nokia test their units correctly prior to retail.It's a shame se don't follow suit,otherwise i might possibly of kept my k7 This message was posted from a Nokia

Nokia Series 60 has vastly more software than P900. S60 offers one handed operation which the P900 does not.

If Nokia offered a phone that offered touch screen input + Symbian, I would have bought that instead.. mainly because of the software situation.
