Her in Norway it is the nearly the same as in Sweden. If the phone is bought and out of the shop, normaly we must sent in the phone to a service point for checking it. we can never know if the person who bought the phone, has got something on the phone, like water ect. SO the service point has to look at the phone. Anyway after the norwegian rules, the manufactor (sony ericsson ,nokia ect.) has the chance to fiks the phone 2 times before the costoumer has the chanse to claim a new phone or the money back.
But some big storehouse has their own policy to get a new one if you buy a extra service..

The 'ol nokia B&W's were the most bug-free, reliable phones i've ever used. Two in particular, the 3310 and the 3410.
Anyway the only problem i've had with my K700i is the battery running out in about a day.

This situation with sending phones off for repair is bloody ridiculous! If my tv didnt work as promised Id take it back and get it replaced, I wouldnt expect it to be sent off for weeks to be looked at and be left with nothing!

When I had some problems with my 6 days old Z600 the Belgian SE management told me they had a European rule which says the store where you have bought your phone has to replace your corrupted phone immediately without sending it to a SE servicepoint when the phone is not older than 7 days (excepting when water is dripping out of it of course

). So if your phone is only 5 days old: return it to the shop and they will have to replace it!
