If you are after the sound, then go for the SE T230, though features wise, it is far inferior with that of the SE T68i
Practicality speaking, you just could have settled all along with your SE T68i mate in the 1st place
The sound of it is quite OK if you'll ask me mate, it's just a matter of settings adjustments.

Indeed, a t630 could be loud aswell, but the 2 beeps are the most effective solution, cos they arent so 'natural' then trallala alerts imho.

Itīs not only the sound, it is also rf and a better screen i am really starting to dislike the 256 colour screen of the t68 and since my operator is selling the 230prepaid for 60euro i thougt it was worth a try and am keeping my t68 also incase i would dislike the t230.

I would consider the Siemens S55..
It has gone from cutting edge to ho-hum since it was introduced, but it is still a t68i beater imo and can be found at very nice price in Sweden. I admit weīre talking twice the price of t230, but i have seen/played with the t230 and I feel you get twice the performance too out of the S55 except the rather crappy display.. (itīs still t68i-class+ but nowadays that doesnīt amount to a lot
)

The screen and the absence of IR is the only thing to crib about in the T230. Otherwise, its a great phone. Mind you its a low budget, low end phone. You get much more than what you pay for.
