T630 is faster than R520, but can not be noticable for wap browsing, because the downlink data is very limit. The data rate improvement will not help much on wap but will be noticable on internet browsing. This message was posted from a P800

I don't believe there is a connection with the signal strength and GPRS speed. As long there is a signal/connection the packages can be sent. It should more depend on your phone and the receiver, not the medium in between.
