Well, actually the said contest does not necessarily mean 'seniority' here gal
, It's a 'free-for-all' thing for the old-timers
He'll set some guidelines/rules to follow and then a nice prize up for grabs, then it's your move how to get/win it
I know you are just one of the 'oldies' here, having nearly reached the 5K mark ('guess it's the nearest one next to @masseur's

But forgot this is an online forum. No one is obligated to stay here, no one has to give away stuff.
This is PRIMARILY an SE fans forum.
If there is some paralell stuff going on, is because people like this community and like to share things with other users, whatever it is.
Of course, the longer you're around, the better people know you. And that's what oldtimers are.
