I didnt tell him I had sent mine so I wasn't dishonest; he said that he had sent his to me several times. Because of the low value of the item it seemed OK to do it on trust but I just got a feeling he wouldn't follow thru with it and decided to send mine once his arrived. The deceit is that he told me he had sent his and complained at not receiving mine !!!

I didn't tell him I had sent mine, I had/have every intention of sending mine in a fair swap. He claimed he had sent his and complained on not receiving mine so I dont think its the same, do you ? If he simply doubted my word he wouldn't have said he had sent his, he would have said hey guy, I'm waiting for you too !


anyway I'll leave it for a few days to see if he comes back and explains, if not I will name him to prevent others having a problem.

Not that this should be a forum for moral debate, but let me have a go.

Surely your deceit came first! You both agreed to send something to each other, but you immediately decided not to. So you were the first one to break your deal. You claim that you always intended to send yours out, but you haven't invested any faith in the other party like you wanted him to do. Why do you feel that he should trust you and not vice-versa?

I think the guilty party here has named himself - you'll be lucky if any other members agreed any transactions with you in future if this is your approach.

Well if he said he sent it and it won't arrive, then you know. Once a package is sent you cannot get it back as far as I know.

There was no deceit or lack of honesty on my part. I said I would send mine in exchange for the other case. I did not say I would send my case NOW (then if you get my meaning or do I mean immediately,... whatever). I have not at any time said that I have sent it either so I have not lied or deceived at any stage. I am still quite happy to send my case if I receive his one. I would naturally send it recorded delivery.

I have a good trading history on the internet and various folk will happily provide a reference for this fact. I have never had a dispute of any kind with a purchaser on any item that I have sold on the internet.

Yeah we know dvdgremlin you have said at least 3 times, the other person was in the wrong saying he posted it then sayin it wasnt getting posted just tell us who it was, so we can stay away from them.
