They don't need it. But they like to have more.
By the way, this is a phone cat, not a F1 cat.
Sorry, it is my fault.

LOL! That "Horrid" red and the logo was certainly commisioned and desigend by some Elete Art Design studio that probably cost Vodafone millions! The whole corporate brading thing is so important to big company these days.
Shame it still sucks donkey balls and got no style What-So-Ever! Talk about a tacky expensive piece of sh*t!
Strangely, in Japan, Vodafone Japan is not that strict on the logo, I have see various Japanese Vodafone Live fones with no horrid red menu and even the phone case badging is done in moderte silver with a not-so-obvious red logo on the back cover (if you hold hte phone, your hands covers that badge, no one else can see it)
Probably the average japanese users are bit more style concious and if Voda dared to push their badging, no one would bought their phone
see these examples:

Unfortunatly the chances of Voda Europe to sdopt such an attitude is: 0

@bobafett
Some of the worlds most uggly, unlogical and awfull designs of a companys logo are also the worlds most well known ones. McDonald's is also a little undated (read 80ths) but is ranked top ten of the worlds most known logos. For large companies it's not the design itself that counts, it's the fact that the logo has become a trademark; when that has happened it's a psycological drawback to change it. The fact that we spend time discussing it proves it's a hit...

Back to F1 talk. From the 2006 season onwards in Formula One, tobacco advetising will be outlawed. At the moment a lot of the F1 teams heavily rely on tobacco companies for sponsorship.
So Ferrari and Marlboro have found a loop hole in the rules which technically allows Marlboro logo to appear on their car even after the ban. But for Ferrari to make this happen it has to ensure that each and every square inch on its car is bought for sponsorship from Marlboro thus only the one same logo will appear everywhere on the car and no other logo at all.
This might be the reason for Ferrari and Vodafone maybe ending their partnership.
