The answer to your questions are These don't exsist!....they are just props from the movie back to the future unfortunately,although one day who knows,...i certainly hope so anyway!

Technical u could get a real hoverboard.

In japan they r working on hover trains that work with magnets and liquid nitrogen. Somehow the magnet attracts and repels the liquid nitrogen at the same time so it kind of hovers.

So if you could get lots of liquid nitrogen and a couple of magnets it could work. But if you fell over you would freeze.....hmm....
