That is because the S65 is a megapixel camera, pictures take up a lot more memory. 1.3 is on par with some digital cameras, most of which have MMC slots.
S65 is a nice looking phone aswell!

yeah but in that logic k700 should also have an expansion slot considering that it can take pictures in extended 1.3 mp mode.....
and 1.3mp doesn't take that much space, i mean you can easily have 60 pics on a 128 mb with a 5mp camera....

The S65 is really not that special
It has a big - but not very good screen. Low resolution compared to screensize and dull colors. Comparing the same pictures on both phones and the K700 screen is much higher quality - much sharper and brighter/better colorreproduction.
It has a memoryslot - but no ability to playback musicfiles of any kind neither mp3 nor AAC/mp4
This also means no mp3 ringtones.
Videorecording/playback is subpar to the K700 - K700 can play back mp4video with highquality AAC smoothly - S65 only support low quality amr and playback is not as smooth as K700
It has an 1.3mp camera - but quality is not particularly good - pictures have litle color and for instance the 1mp camera of N7610 beats it hands down.

It has adopted the menu from S//E - but my guess is because siemens whish to save battery they have designed the menu rather boring with few colors. Some may say they like it - but I see no point in having a colorscreen and not using it.
But no complaints as to the function of the menus or the filesystem - these work fine.
Design is very nice I think - but keypad feels cheep and way to small for comfortable use.
All in all - its a good standard phone with a megapixel camera - but nothing special to rock the market and certainly not anything that should make S//E ashamed of the K700 - which sports more possibilities than the S65 and in a nicer way.

i have it her in my shop and i agree with TheRealSpawn..
Its real not a good phone.. Its very big and the screen is in black and light grey. Only the Icon witch the corser is over is in colour. M65 is better on this.
Memory: ok it has a memory slot witch is a heck to put the card into and getting it out of.
The 1.3 MPcam is not that good. Pic taken with the N7610 are really better.

just my opinion:
my sister have this 7610 and become disappointed because the picture in the screen is not better than her samsung V200. for me, im not going to transfer the picture into a PC and print it and put it in my photo album as long as the picture is excellent on the phone's screen. my experience with this s65 was great because i compared her with other phone (re: the features and picture in LCD quality).
MP3 issues? for me again, the phone's battery consumption should be used for calling or texting or taking some snapshots because it is a camera phone. I'd rather buy an Ipod for MP3 than using my phones memory for music files which sucks battery power.
guys, just an opinion. still it is your freedom to choose....and i chose S65.
