the internal browser on the P910 now supports small screen rendering and from my testing is fairly equal to opera in that respect.

whats more the internal browser now provides navigation to each link on the page using the jogdial up and down, and back to the previous page using the jogdial back. This all makes single handed navigation so much easier.

Since opera doesn't dupport the jog dial the only thing going for it now IMHO is the Opera mobile accelerator which you do have to pay for but which probably pays for itself in reduced GPRS data and hence smaller phone bill

Don' t forget (unless I'm wrong) that the internal browser still does not fully support Jave in web pages while Opera does (well it still comes up with a warning about Java functions).

The internal browser of P910i must be a cut down Opera because have you noticed that if you install Opera from the supplied CD the install size is much smaller than the install for the P900?

The Opera Mobile Accelerator is a paid for service offered by Opera whereby all the pages you access come through them & are tailored to the portable Opera software (think it caches pages, reduces image size/quality, removes ads. etc.)

It's a web surf program for Smartphones.
It stacks the frames on "normal" web sites on undreneath each other so you browse the web easily.

psikey, yeah thats pretty much whi I still have opera installed and I too did notice the much smaller install size

I'll probably take up the accelerator service when the trial expires as it does seem quite nifty

This Mobile Accelerator software sounds like the 'Onspeed' service that you can get in the UK for dial-up connections. All page requests are diverted to Onspeed's servers, which fetch the page and reduce the file sizes by compressing graphics etc.

Presumably, if this was installed on a PC while a connected phone was using it's connection to surf, the pages would load quicker and use less memory on the phone too - and it wouldn't matter so much as the graphics appear smaller on the screen anyway.

its only too much if you don't save that much on the GPRS part of your phone bill.

it doesn't sound unreasonable to me at all
