The s700 is the only one with a CCD sensor and proper exposure controls, so there´s no doubt about which to choose...

Wow! Esato has grown immensely since the time I joined -- Thanks a ton for all the quick replies

Ok back to the topic -- is the S700 out yet? The phone looks ace from the SE website... looks like a proper camera!

Also, I'd assume it has mp3 --- which CAN be listened to over a pair of headphones??

I wont be too worried if it doesn't have Symbian -- its features look good enough.

Need some info about Siemens S65 too please. Basically the same questions apply to this phone as the S700.

Thanks in advance for the replies...

of course S700 WILL NOT be able to play .sis files. It's asburd. The person saying that is either messing around with you, or just plain stupid.

well actually not considering he only said four things and this is how it looks:
s700: radio/yes, 1,3mp cam/yes, mp3/yes(stereo), bt/yes
while nokia:
7610: radio/no, 1mp cam (and if i may add i wasn't thrilled by the quality of it though i admit i haven't tested s700 yet so....)yes, mp3/yes but mono, bt/ yes

if you don't need a symbian phone s700 sure beats 7610 but if were talking about symbian ones then i guess 7610 is the answer mate....

Because it is so described by SE in the official presentation of the product. There are no symbian phones at SE, other than Pxxx series (at least that I know of!).

S700i and S710i are ment to be a blend between a low quality digital camera and a mid-high mobile phone. The mp3/mp4 functions are just bonus.

OK so to let u know I eventually ended up with a Nokia 7610. It was the only good phone that met my requirements that was actually available in the market. I'll probably get a S700 when it comes out, but I reckon thats gonna be for a while. So in the meantime I shall chill out with my new phone. Thanks for all the replies. Thanks!
