Am i the only one that has noticed that if you hold a k700 and a 6230 side by side the screen actualy used for a picture or text message is excatly the same size the only difference is the signal strength bar and the option bar the take those away the screens are the same size This message was posted from a Nokia

I'm not asking you to do anything. I was just giving my personal opinion on Sony Ericsson. There's no need to jump down my throat about it. I respect everyones positive opinion on SE on this board also. Everyone has a different experience and opinion, I was just giving mines as most posts tend to be positive feedback about SE. So I'm sorry if I've caused any harm.

This is a forum and we love our phones. They are far from perfect. As are not the VW Beetle was. It had it's shortcommings, but had a dedicated follower base that loved it despite of it. The same applies to sure some of us had bad experiences with , but we still stick with them, because of different personnel reasons everybody has here.
Fact is the gras is not greener on the othere side, it is just a different seed of gras. Other phones brands have their shortcommings, too.

The topic starter's post sounded like a bunch of negative things he heard about the K700i and then he threaded them together into one post. Usually you can tell by the way people write (their writing style). I think it's a good thing because it gets Esato members to respond.

Anyways, the K7 is my first SE and I'm fine with it. I have the R2A firmware and my battery is up to 5 days with temporary use. Honest!!! I don't play games (not a fan). I don't take pictures (don't care about the camera). I don't text message (why on earth would someone text message someone and pay the stupid phone companies more money per month? - just call and talk to the damn person).

The only thing I don't like about my K7 is the random occasional lag when navigating the menu. That's the only thing wrong with my K7...but I can live with it until a stable firmware is out.

I know every phone has problems, nothing's perfect. The extreme picky ones are the one who complain that someone move their keyboard 2 inches to the left while they were away. You know the type....

Hi, im a new k700i user only had phone 1 week, So far so good!

Q1 is how do you know what firmware update your phone already has installed??

and

Q2 was a thread i see the other day i cant find now about the playnow link that takes you to a special SE site to download poly tones, but my k700 only has the normal SE site link and am going crazy trying to find a way of getting to the playnow site.

I bought it handset only through virgin with there preset gprs settings,
would that have an affect becuase my mate has an orange k700 and has the playnow link?

this site is the nuts!!

@sasa1 - . . . You could have used/posted the 'charlie' thing dude, far much expensive and in nowadays! The Nokia 6230 is a nice fone as well . . . I guess it's only advantage with that of the SE K700/i is it's expandable memory card slot !

kevinmccallion you're in ESATO where most of the people here are SE fanatics so dont expect that nokia, siemens, etc... will be praised here...thats the sad thing. better to find a site that honour Nokia tell them that SE is this and that.

There's nothing wrong with being devoted to a brand. It's the person's own choice, and for personal reasons. Somewhere along the comparison of phone specs, the balance is tipped and loyalty develops.... This message was posted from a Nokia

Guys, i think you have been a little harsh on the guy, he was only voicing his opinion, which he is perfectly entitled to do, he was doing a 6230/k700 comparison, although it was worded a little "unusually" for a comparison. I've seen a couple of threads lately, people asking for a comparison, and he was just giving his views on it.

This is like saying that a 18" LCD @ 1024x768 has no less quality than a 19" CRT @ 1600x1200
