one good thing about the t630 is t9, because you use full words now!
I know realise your english might not be too good but sometimes it was hard to read your posts with your r520!!

It is strange why so many SE fans prefer Ericsson. I touched upon this topic in another thread, but it seems quite relevant to this discussion. I know that Ericsson did produce more phones than Sony, but this doesn't seem an adequate explanation for the large gap between Sony and Ericsson fan numbers.
Personaly I was never a major Ericsson fan, I did once buy an Ericsson phone, but returned it after a few days. I always thought that the Ericsson designs were intended to appeal to people with absolutely no aesthetic appreciation; the designs seemed somewhat 'basic' and 'primitive' to me, almost awkward at times. My opinion changed with the release of the T68/T68i. I have said it before and I shall say it again, the T68/T68i was and is, in my opinion, the best mobile phone ever produced.
I always liked Sony phones, they always had the 'Japanese look' to them; that is futuristic and desirable. I have always liked gadgets and the Sony phones appealed to me on that level. I liked the jog-dial, I liked their menu system and I liked their features.
Combining Sony and Ericsson I think we have good quality products that continue to deliver innovation and style to customers.

I think what people loved about Ericsson phones were their simple, clean design aesthetic. Volvo and Ikea are other examples of simplistic Swedish design.

@brix25
I think that's what I disliked about Ericsson!

Ericsson phones do remind me of Ikea actually; I don't want Ikea furniture and I don't want Ikea mobiles either!

hmmmmmmmmmmm
although you must most certainly do whatever you please I for example, not being a longstanding Ericsson fan, have taken considerable time to figure out what on earth you meant with your /////////////////////// all over the place.
Apart from that I find the use of text language appalling and disrespectful to the reader, but that's a whole different topic right there.
What i have not quite figured out yet is why you posted this thread. So you like Ericsson. We all know that? Why did it need further explanation?

I wanna say 1 thing: the design is still in the Ericsson 'standards',still resembling the clear cuts from the 90s. I find this elegant.

I am sort of curious why many people are so eager to see Sony and Ericsson as two halves rather than one whole
You DO realise it is in fact
1 new company and not just the mobile branch of each working together?
Why can't we get over the fact that a merger took place 3 years ago and focus on this
new company that is doing reasonably well imho and still has a lot to offer to all of us?

Vlammetje: as mentioned in my first post, many asked for an answer. It easier to give an explination then go off topic or write the same in many pms.
