but the poor guy might not wanna chop them down. Not much fun listening to a track only for it to stop halfway through!
unless you are trying to use as a ringtone, in which case I agree ~ just cut them down. it depends if you are using it as an mp3 playa or a ringtone.
I dunno if the k700 supports the AAC format or not. they take up less space for the same quality. might be worth a try.
as i said, I'm not sure if it supports it tho.
other than that i not sure, sorry

you can use a CD-rip program, with that you can reduce the bit-limted from the song. what i mean is, you will not hear the differents of the song if you reduce it to 64 bit instad of 128 bit. that alone is reducing the song from 10 MB to 5 MB..
try that..

Convert the Mp3 to Mp4 a file with 10Mb in mp3 should be around 3.5/4 Mb in Mp4 you can use these format to listen the music but not as ringtone

I never mentioned chopping down songs. Using CDEx I change the bitrate of the mp3s to 64 and change them to mono at the same time. You can half the byte size of the file and still get practically the same quality but you obviously can't get stereo effect when you listen to your stereo earphones. You can experiment on lower bitrates too so you can get an optimum size/quality output. I find 112Kbps stereo to be OK though just a small difference in size compared to 128Kbps. If you settle for mono you can use 56Kbps with minimal degradation IMO.

What i ment about chopping it down was chopping the filesize in half. Just like a sharp knive and some fresh tomatos.
