> Wat if K500i had bluetooth?

I have to agree that its a fault to not have bluetooth - especially considering the pricedifference between the K700 and the K500 are so low and the fact that many previous S//E phones did have BT (like my mid-range T610). I could never go from a T610 with bluetooth to a K500 without.
Looking at the K500 as is - I honestly dont really see it being that competitive in its pricerange. In my country an E398 cost about the same - offering the same as K500 plus better screen, bluetooth, stero speakers, more memory (64mb) and memoryslot.
I'd recommend an E398 over the K500 if my friends asked my advice.
And thats coming from an old S//E fan like me.
As much as I think the K700 was a succes I must admit I dont think the K500 will be.
And I think the lack of posts showing interest in buying the K500 compared to the number of posts about the K700 collaborates this.

Yes,bt is exactly the feature what is missing in the phone. It would be great phone with it. Combination - edge and bt would be very useful.

In India actually its rate is 14,ooo Rs (304 US $)..still its expensive when compared to T610 which goes for 200$ here ....it will be a best buy at 200-225 US $ ...(which I am hoping it will come by ...the next month )

- k500 is not a low end phone. A T100 is, and the T230 might be. I know esato-standards are high, but please keep some sense of reality. K500 is middle range.
- Most people do not care about BT. And you have to admit that the compatibility of BT devices remains a problem so the added value for most people is zero. As long as you stick into SE-branded devices it all works fine but apart from that, is has not enough practical applications that make it worth the price unfortunately. So it makes sense to make a model like the k500 w/o BT.
- Still the k500 is rather expensive

Who says bluetootj has compatibility probs? No probs as far as i kno, it works fine fast n gr8 between all brand of fones unlike IR. N many nokias n samsungs have just one-way IR(receive only) which really sucks. But SE fones all have 2 way IRs.
But bluetooth is just a chip n it is a global standard so it is very much compatible wid all bluetooth chips.
In my college my frenz all definitely use bluetooth 4 transferring the files among us. Each one has a different brand n u cant transfer anythin u usin IR then.
But even though K500i is a bit costly. I wud say if it had bt n still costs around 14K in india, it is k, considering T630 costs atleast 10k-12k.
