they will not release an online update service because they always release a slightly updated model every 6 months.
their pricing policy is also better because on the same reason.
way to go nokia
if you get the higher priced SE over nokia, you're sure that if there are firmware updates you won't have to buy a new phone.

I think Nokia is the most underrated company on this side of the universe..
I agree once upon a time they were great..
I had bought a NOKIA 3210 way back in June 2000 for 21,000 rupees, it was the first internal antenna phone, after a year and half My IC blew off..I took it to customer care and they stated " Sorry Sir, We have stopped Production for this phone so its difficult to procure any parts for service" I told them I can wait but they categorically denied stating outdated phone ( Just 1 1/2 Yr old)
I bought 3530 The first Colour LCD phone in India, In the second week my LCD fused, Nokia states " Sorry Sir, The phone is new we don't have requiste part for your repair, you can leave the phone with us and we will get back to you in a month's time"
Ironically I had bought a 6510 for dad, which I say is one of the best nokia phones ever made after 3210. After 1 1/2 yrs of unfailing service the cover gets too damaged the paint is gone and so is the screen which has become scratchy...I take it to Nokia and they say " Sorry sire beacuse we have stopped production of this phone its difficult to procure the panels, You can either choose this Blue One ( Shitty) or wait till we give you a call for your choice"
I shifted to SE after my 3530 Fiasco and since then have never looked back..In my opinion Nokia has got lots of airs of being a better company,
KEEP LIVING IN THE MATRIX...Nokia....
regards,

I think Nokia has the edge over SE.
SE does not have any affordable (for practical daily use) smartphone like the 7610/6600/6260/6630.
Smartphone sales is skyrocketing and will constitute major proportion of total phones sales by 2005.
And Nokia smartphone is outselling SE by 8 to 1.

I get the feeling that nokia smartphones outsell

smartphones because nokia can afford to spend vast amounts on marketing, and nokia has the "trendy, down widdit, for the kids" factor. Which is simply brainwashing imo but thats a different subject altogether.

SE brings out just one all arround smartphone.
nokia brings out more smart phones, some are good for person a, some for person b and some for person c. but in the end there is no truely all arround nokia.

i dont agree with this. SE smartphones are just too expensive and the P900 is more PDA than smartphone. furthermore not every1 is that rich or requires an advanced executive level business functionality.
So SE don't even have anything to compete with Nokia series 60 smartphone.
look at the 6600 (which was bombasted in this forum) is so plain looking, but it is selling 10 times the volume of P900.
people just see more value (and more practical for daily use) in Nokia smartphone than a SE one. as simple as that. only diehard SE fans cannot see this.
