This might be the wrong thread but...
I was thinking of upgrading to a T630 (looks good on paper) but I have had such a bad experience with the T68i that I am afraid to touch another SE.
Does the T630 suffer from painfully slow software and dropping the network?

the software on the t630 is slow compared to k700 sure, but not painfully slow. u can get around this problem by having some free memory on phone and using a theme without the frills.
as for dropped calls, i haven't experienced any for the past six months that i've used for.
cheers

The problem is with the new fw not the themes.

With the T39m you can get a great fon and it is really small. Another would be the T610 voted best handset of 2003 or the T630 a mature model if you don't like the T68i. That's already for SE. Personally I would go for the T39m, tiny and sweet.

Using a simple theme is one of the methods of making the phone milliseconds faster.

Iīd go for a T39 as well, but if you canīt live without polytones, the Siemens S55 is the/my best choice.
You ought to be able to get one for a song nowadays, and IMO it is/was superior to T68i (better address book, use any damn message alert you want, upgradeable via website etc.)
