I guess @masseur that having the 'blue leds' on your Nokia 8250 is a standard one! As all of the 8250's that I am seeing here in Manila or in the Asian region (including my old one) has a blue led on it . . . ?

Nokia 8250 did have blue lighting as standard. Thats why people imported them as they looked a lot better with blue lighting.

I believe it would be possible. It's a case of removing the small LEDs off the phone's PCB, and soldering the different coloured ones back on in their place. You can probably also get red ones from somewhere also.
However, it's not as easy as I make it sound! I like fiddling with, and fixing phones, but I wouldn't try doing that myself. The LEDs are tiny, and you would probably need a very fine-pointed or specialised (and therefore expensive) soldering iron to put these LEDs on, and of course there's the risk of damaging the phone's PCB whilst doing this.
Probably best to get a professional to do this for you!

i remember the old ericsson a3618 or the A2618 (white colour phone) had interchangeable backlights. u could change the lights using the phone settings menu.
JN: yeah.. all the 8250's i've seen here in india as well have the standard blue lights. infact i've never seen one without a blue light!
