Im using the new spv c500 windows phone with my mac. Its a great phone, just third party software is needed to sync (such as pocketmac or missing sync). Works with all mac functions and is much smaller than the sendo.

Ah, now that's VERY interesting. I didn't consider the Orange, as it runs Microsoft, so I just assumed it would not synchronise.

Which data does it synch with? Is it my address book and iCal data, or is it the data from my palm desktop, or with something else? I have bought missing Sync before (when I got my clie) and don't mind it if I need to again.

Could you let me know a bit more about what sort of things you sync, and what sort of things you use your phone for. For example, does it have a decent browser?

C500 is very nice handset. it's a very small smartphone. actually its size is almost like T610. it has got mp3 player, radio. the windows is not a problem if it comes to synchronization and oyou can get it for free with a proper plan.

seems like sendo X got a lot of bugs. just like Siemens SX1 (which has been discontinued, i think), it has some growing up pain.

get the 6260 which got the same functions as the Sendo X. the Nokia 6260 is a fourth generation series 60. so it would be stable platform.

i think a smartphone a much more complex piece of hardware than ur ordinary phone, so there are more opportunity for things going wrong.

P900 would be good too, if u don't mind the weight, size and fragility and of course well-known fact it will make a hole in your pocket..

Well, I bought a c500 yesterday. I am paying £19 a month for 120 minutes and 4Mb of GPRS access, and I got the phone for free.

I will try to post a better report once I have worked out how to use everything but, for now, feelings are mixed.

The handset itself is great. Nice size, bright screen, very well made, and I like how it looks and feels. It is on functionality that I still have to decide.

Initially, it connected to the web perfectly, but stopped doing so after an hour. I now only get a "cannot complete call" message when I try to connect to email or the web. Orange at first said it was a network problem, but are now not so sure.

I haven't worked out if I can customize the startup screen yet, but I think that you really do need to be able to. I want to have icons on the front page for my favourite web sites, for my email inbox, and for the MP3 player and video player. Currently, you have to go down through menus, and the main screen sits almost empty. I'd be MUCH happier with it having quic entry points on there than a nice picture of a beach.

I am also unable to sync with my Mac. I have bought pocketMac and installed it, but it can neither see the phone through bluetooth or through the USB cable. There are apparently changes that I need to make to "active sync", but the instructions on how to do so rely on menu choices that don't exist (such as the ability to turn off password protection).

So, the phone promises much, but, if it doesn't deliver soon, it will go back to the shop in a fortnight.

If anyone's interested, I'll post an update to say how it works when everything goes correctly.

Hi, I've used both:

Sendo X and P910i.
Well they're both aimed at the bussinessman so if you are it's gonna be a hard struggle to pick one.

Having TomTom (now at my P900) I can say wait for it because it will be better than wayfinder, can't say much more but just wait and see!

The Sendo X is one-hand-based and can do almost the same as P910i:
taking pictures, playing music, synchronise, email, browsing.
But the P910i is slightly larger (could be a disadvantage) so
browsing on a mobile is a new dimension on P-series!

Pick some options (2 to 3) you prefere and see which device
is the best in those features or displaying those features!

Well, although it was clearly a very nice device, it was just too big for me in the end. If they coudl keep the screen size, but shrink the frame aroundit, it's be perfect fro me, but I preferred the small size over the extra functionality in the end.

@nils7

I know TomTom demo'd Mobile earlier this year for the P900 but they seem to have held off on a release. Now I have my P910 I am just waiting for TomTom so I can ditch my Ipaq running TomTom.

Is there going to be a definite release for the P900/P910? Last time I asked TomTom the question they were very not commital.

Well I have it on my P900 so it is there!

And I am still testing the bugs!
Which are alot at the moment! Comming week l will receive the GPS antenna to test with driving!

They are working on a UIQ version but never gave an official statement about it!
So technicly it doesnt exist.

I cant say much about it but it has more functions than its ppc-version!

I suspect it will be in the shops at least in March!
Note: that is based on my own opinion so dont claim rightsn it.
