Thats great , wondering how large the sensor could be . It can take pics of res nearing 4500*4500 ?

Picture quality and picture resolution are 2 things altogether ! For the salesman in your local store CCD-resolution is a easy and convenient way to convince a customer to get into a deal. The Mars-rovers have a resolution of 1MP ! Yes thats right ONE MP. Why the pictures are so sharp is because of the custom zoom lens ($100000+) Also this 22+MP camera is using a larger then normal "proprietary size" CCD chip.So the lens is not standard ! I wonder how many they are going to sell and how much is going to cost if I want to fit it with a decent custom made lens ?(if I can find someone how can build a lens in that size)

While the above post has a point, I still thikn that image resoloution is the deciding factor in quality. After all, the higher resoloution, the closer to the actual thing it becomes... I can't wait until we have the technology to colour atoms, and therefore print in FULL resoloution, meaning it has the same resoloution as real life...
However, the problem is what resoloution the camera would be able to see... We would have to use some kind of portable electron microscope/camera that can take the electrons's movements into account (light and therefore colours are just exited electrons returning to their original state after being hit with a form of energy [often light from another source...])
Now that we have the physics lesson out of the way... Yes, I want one of these cameras, but so far i'm happy with my far-less-than-real-life resoloutoin p800 camera....

Great now everyone won't be happy until they bring out a 10mp version in a Z600 clam design ;P
Otherwise nice camera, hopefully it'll do well considering alot of the camera companies are facing losses due to large amounts of stock.

I just wonder what practical use will that offer

High resolution posters/billboards? Or simply to provide hi-quality digital zooming?

Digital zoom is pointless. People seem to be forgetting that light travels as photons, and no matter how many megapixels sensitivity the chip has, the quality of a captured image will not improve if we do not increase the amount of photons being detected by the light sensitive receptor. You can think of a photon as being a single "bit" of information; no matter how many bits of information the camera is capable of processing, the image quality will only improve if we increase the amount of light "bits" being received, ie by focusing more photons on to the receptor with a larger lens.
This is simple physics.

You forgot to mention that the "Particle Theory" is still a THEORY so it's also pointless to talk about it here IMO.
When I mentioned Hi-quality digital zooming, it's just like taking a shot of something at 1024x768 resolution while your camera can actively capture 21MP this will be like cropping a 1024x768 area from a large 5376x4032 which is requires no interpolation in the part of the camera -- this achieves hi-quality. It's just my idea anyway so, no big deal.

I see what youre getting at but its not entirely correct. A 1024x768 area cropped from a 5376x4032 chip would actually contain less "light information" than an image captured by a 1024x768 chip with the same surface area, for example.
Its a bit like having bad reception on your car radio, you can turn up the volume, or you can extend the aerial. Extending the aerial will give better results, as you are effectively increasing the amount of information being received by your radio. In this case, increasing the resolution of the camera is analogous to turning up the volume without extending the aerial, you are still capturing the same amount of information.
As for the particle theory, light has particle/wave duality; it is both.
