all u guys on contract give the settings a shot.enter the settings den use some gprs and then check if u get charged when u get ur bill.i guess thats the only way 2find out on contract if u r getting charged.btw dont use too much gprs when u test out the settings otherwise u mite end up with a high bill if the settings dnt allow free gprs on contract.

The reason why I don't "try" is because I don't have my p800 yet, (friday hopefully) and also because I would have to get an O2 sim. Actually, I have an O2 online sim, will it work on that? It should shouldn't it? I'll try anyways.

ALso, why would a network allow a "free" gprs port???

In my experience, it only seems to be smartphones that allow the proxy port to be changed.

All new SEs like K700, S700, Z1010 etc. Allow it.
T610 and similar do not

I couldn't get it to work through the synch station for some reason, probably because I'm using windows xp! I'll check my settings tonight after work and post them here. This message was posted from a P900

I heard the 8080 port wap like a free backdoor for developers and testing etc. Don't know if there's any truth in that though
