JN, i still use my k700i with r2a, having the option to go upgrade it (iīm waiting a new version with further improvements)...i donīt think it needs to be "recalled" by SE, thatīs stupid...the batterir has enough power for my needs (by now it always stand almost 2 days)
By the way, do blokia provide online firmware upgrades???

I am an S//E man myself for many reasons - but I tend to agree that in general Nokia seem to have been better over time regarding cameraimplementation. K700 is really the first S//E phone that are able to compete in quality with Nokia cameras - atleast when we are talking under good lightingconditions. Under poor lighting even the K700 camera looses. IMHO the S700 is the first cameraphone from S//E to really have an edge.

@arez - I am not quite sure if Nokia offers 'FREE' online upgrades here mate, but everytime I visit my technician's lab for upgrades with my SE fones, he manages to have some upgrades for Nokia fones as well, though not sure where he got it

Why do people go on about how bad a "phones" camera is? If you need a good camera buy a camera.
I wonder if cannon released a digital camera with phone capabilities people would moan that my digital cameras got bad reception or something like that?

Maybe to be fair - Canon, Fuji, Pentax, Ricoh and Olympus should make cams with fone features on it . . . eventually, maybe they'll capture a big portion of the celfone's market share and unseat Nokia, SE et al at that !

I guess they are the only company (SE) which produces both a fone and a cam in one gadget

these get a "real camera" arguements are getting pretty weak..
seriously people if the cam sucks it sucks.. it's not meeting expectation...
that's like saying get a real mp3, player, get a real screen go buy a 22 inch tv.... go get some real duracell batteries...
the gx30 cam meet and exceeded my expectation and the s700i has done that as well..
the remainder of the SE cams have been very disappointing..
nokia's not much better though...teh 7610 and 3650 are excellent but all their other cams did not meet my expectation.. 6600 cam had the same night mode spots like the k700i
