I do have them...I did another Master Reset, and the icons came back... now the problem is, the apps don't want to launch... I keep getting an error USER 113. grrrr... well, at least I know that apps are in the phone. I'm just waiting for Quickoffice Support to get back to me.

I know it's in the ROM... I found it on drive Z... but I did a master reset, and that's actually when it disappeared from the installed apps.

I'm a new user of P910 never had a Pxxx seriese phone before, have a Z600. Any way How do you browse Z: drive on the phone, I was never able to find it in the file manager and I also used SMan but never find any such drive.

Also, anyone able to use the DUN (dial-up networking) to browse the internet (not using GPRS) successfully, as I have an ISP with unlimited usage and have plenty of extra anytime minutes, so it would be virualy free to me. Everyttime I launce the DUN I get an error msg. that 'Call was not answered' and I have used the same phone number on my laptop successfully many times.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

To use DUN, your subscription has to support data calls... since a call to an ISP is not counted as a voice call.

@jplacson

Are you restoring after your reset? If so, I suspect you have installed something that is causing problems with Quickoffice. I have heard of people who for some strange reason decided to install QuickOffice on their c: drive and this has caused all sorts of problems. Have a look here

No, I don't do a restore since I know this wipes the folder app and replaces it with the saved one as well... I did a regular Master Reset, then I checked the apps right after... Quickoffice was there, but the apps wouldn't launch. I'd get the Error 113 USER message, then the app would close.

Ok so I broke down and got the Sony p910i.

I can get Tmobile to work on it, finds the service and soon as the sim goes in. Cingular does not work. I get green, yellow, red bars then dies. Called cingular, they were like "what kind of phone". Told me to call Sony. Any idea why I can't get a cingular network in GA?

Please help a long time Sony fan.

If you had cingular before, it should work, check with cingular if the service is available in your area and that they are not using ony 850 frequency. I have P910i with cingular in the San Francisco Bay Area and it works without any problem. As a matter of fact it gets better signals then my Z600. But I also know that cingular here uses 850 and 1900 frequency and I get on with 1900 just fine. I have used this phone in Toronto, Canada and Phoenix on the way. No problems at all.

I think any member that wants to invest in a P910 series phone and has Cingular should seriously consider waiting for the P910a. The reason being is that Cingular GSM is mainly on the 850mhz band which the P910a supports and the P910i doesn't. So with that said, it's best to wait for that model instead. P800 and P900 users have had issues getting service with Cingular in certain parts of Georgia in the past. And again the reason was primarily because Cingular catered most places there with mainly the 850 band which those models didn't support either. So the issue may not be a matter of Cingular not working rather your phone is not suited for the band Cingular caters to. I do agree with T-MO having some flexibility where Cingular doesn't, but I think the primary reason for getting T-Mo should be for it's international packages. If you're staying put in the states Cingular should work actually better with the P910a.
