@aquila2, why do you say that the samsung has a better address book and calendar? Im not familiar with samsung. Se's calendar lacks a few things like birthdays for one.

The only thing i need to see is the implementation of the BT in the Samsung D500... It BETTER be good... If its the same as their IRda then...
.... My friend had a V200 and the IRda was useless!! He could not send ANTHING through the IRda port... sheesh...

D500 is no direct match for S700
D500 Screen is only 1.9" with 176x220 pixels - same size and resolution as K700 though 262K. Phone itself is smaller than K700.
S700 Screen is 240x320 pixels on a much larger 262K screen
D500 camera is CMOS while S700 camera is CCD - I've seen one picture taken with D500 and it was not in S700 quality.
S700 also has memoryslot giving an option for endless memory through change of memorycards.
I see D500 more as a very serious competitor to K700 rather than to S700.

I hope Samsung's IR is useful for sharing this time - in their previous models, IR are practically useless, IMO. I'm also not so sure about their bluetooth implementation as this is probably their first commercial model with a BT. I also think 80MB is not enough for a 1.3MP camera with MP3 player. If this was released during the time K700 was released, I would have chosen this one over the K700 though.
It seems like D710 that they announced last year will never get released after all. Bad Samsung!
