What i wanted to tell is that i´m glad that here in Finland i can buy a phone as cheap as possible and then choose an operator that suites me best. = cheapest
Buying a phone is not operator-related here...
Same thing in Norway. And I think Denmark is following

And talking about 10 times cheaper...
The lowest price for T68 i have noticed here in Finland is some 585€. And it is good to remember that this is a very very expensive country to live...
Phonecalls cost me some 0.16-0.24 euros per minute depending on what time it is and whether its weekend or not. Starting fee for my phone-extension (i don´t know if that is a correct word for it) was 8.21€ and i also have to pay 3.5€ monthly. That is all...

To buy a offline T68 here in the UK £329.99, But on a contract if you can get one..
Line rental will start at £11.99 a month
Expensive to run a mobile in the UK

I agree. Phones are a lot more expensive here in the UK.
I bought my T68 for £329 as well, but I did the following calculation beforehand...
If I bought it on contract, I could have got it for £179.99. Add to this a mininum of 12 months contract at £12.99 and this then costs £335.87 ...and I've yet to make a single call!!!
If you then add some of the extortionate standard call charges that the operators charge, you could end up paying well over the odds.
I just put my old Orange 'Just Talk' SIM card in the phone and I'm happy.
More to the fact, I might be doing a fair bit of travelling abroad some time soon. (Tri-Band - I Luv ya!) Its easier just to register a pay-as-you-go equivalent in another country without the hassles of the phone being locked to an Orange network, or whatever.

I paid £119.99 for mine, Which I was happy with. I got a new contract, and traded in my old phone.
That's why I got it for that..

Today the "MediaMarkt" (German supermarket for electronics and household appliances) advertised the T68 for € 499,- (no contract) which is 305 UK-pounds
