I just make comparison between pics taken by Nokia7610 and Sony Ericsson S700i. All taken by their highest quality settings, in normal lighting condition, indoor. Pictures are resized automatically by Esato.
Here is pic by Nokia, high quality, highest megapixel.
Here is by SE, auto white balance, highest megapixel, night mode is off.

you should use spot photometry next time if the white colors are too bright, or adjust the brightness,
i've found out that s700 makes quite poor pics if all settings are on auto but if you play around a little you get some quite good pics for an example two pics which were made at the same time, one with auto and one with my settings.... the two pics are not really awesome but just to point out that s700 sometimes choses the wrong white balance

@mmsman : wow, the first picture, what is the setting? I sometimes have to take photo in dim light condition.
Thanks

i think i set the phone to delay and place it somewhere just because i wanted to see how it handles low light, white balance was se to incandescent, night mode, and no spot photometry and i adjusted the brightness a little but i don't remeber the exact number,
anyway just be sure that your hand is steady and calm and that you adjust the brightness properly,
sometimes spot photometry helps if you have a white spot in the middle of the photograph...
