i agree with all of the above, i upgraded from my T310 to a K700i and with the new firmware its amazing, much better than the other phones you mentioned. I reccomend it without any doubt, you get people complimenting your phone all the time

yeah, i was gonna say i would probably regret it if i went for the other two, rather than the k700i.
but now, i have another dilemma...'is it worth the wait'..?
i just found out the release date of the s700 in australia is later this month, say- around 24th of october...8 days!!
are the two phones much different, besides the design and the camera??
i would also say that the s700 is going to be much more expensive than k700..right now, the k700 is on a $35AU plan each month for 2 years, with included $35 calls each month..!
i probably would go for the cheaper option, but if the s700 is 'totally' better than the k700, i wouldnt mind forking out some extra cash to get a better phone..

(extra question: the s700 has a opening action that is manually operated..but how come on the japanese version s07i0 (or smthing) there is like an auto-mechanism??...it kinda suXx to have to fumble around with the bulky s700 when you want to answer a call >_

well the S700 is basically the same, except it has 128mb expandable memory slot. larger screen much better cam. In essence its the same phone. But the little extra features for sum reson mean it sell at double the price of the K700!
IMO its not worth it.
i dont think its got a automated opening mechanism but i know it opens both ways

@rcheng - They say that the K700/i is the miniature of the S700? The S700 has a 1.3 MP camera - much better! Now, if you just got the money to spare and will not be eventually be annoyed with the S700's 'swivel' . . . then go ahead mate and get the S700!

rCheng I had k700 and lost it so got a s700 with insurance money, the s700 does not need to be opened for nearly all functions (except text entry mainly). It has a far better camera than k700 compare on the k700/s700 picture threads, as for opening it is not as awkward as it seems, you get used to it. Imo though I would not have got it if insurance did not pay for it.
