Wireless connection to information screens in public areas, such as airports or train stations (so you can see on your phone what is on the monitors while you are enjoying a coffee or the view).
Put your presentation in ppt on the phone, let it run on the phone, projector picks up images via BT.
Network scanner (which networks have coverage here, gsm but also wifi, hotspots, etc.)
Police radio scanner (just kidding, just kidding)
DECT-compatibility: when home, mobile hooks up on your dect station and acts as extra dect handy. I think Siemens has done that but not sure.

it'd be more interesting if we narrow it to the next, like, 2 years.
so things like watching tv on the phone is still far in the future unless battery tech advances real soon.

I think there already is one Motorola phone with Wi Fi...

UMTS
Internal voicemail.... (so as not to pay everytime)
Possibility to have more than one SIM (maybe two or three) and swap between them without taking off batteries,turning off phone and all that stuff.
..and lots more, but I guess these are my "favourites".
