And check if it has been in the service before, t39 had often problem with rec and radio apart.

Battery performance in general has gotten worse over the last few years as a result of an increase in features; all those colour screens and Bluetooth chips eat up the juice. Battery performance is one of the few areas of mobile technology that hasn't improved in a major way.
