Volvo is owned by Ford. The only Volvos on their own now is Volvo Lastvagnar (lorries/trucks), but they are very independent and the second largest producer of lorries in the world.

"Hejsan svejsan" is a very friendly and informal way of saying "hello how are you!"

Does this mean then in the future we're going to have to give our car 3 full charge/discharge cycles before it will get it's optimum speed/range?

The expression does. Not word by word of course. It is a bit hard to translate expressions, it probably does not have an equivalent in English and "Hi, how are you" does not have an equivalent in Swedish. In Norwegian it woud be "heisann, sveisann" or just "hei sveis!".

Things like these are the worst to translate to other languages. A scientific report/paper is easy to translate accurate, but everyday expressions have so many unspoken meanings that the translation will always loose the flavour of the original.

actually i find it quite good if you compare it to other electric concepts, for an example:

i mean aerodinamics are important at such cars...

and about ford... i'm almost 100% that this concept was built in volvo factories, so what if ford owns it?
it's almost like saying that lamborgini is the same as vw (audi owns lambo and vw owns audi)
