not iv'e not get a red line, nor have i ever noticed one on my phone.

No man the "red line" isnīt supposedly to appear in any K700. In mine doesnīt appear, either in a friendīs one. So it has to be faulty or dusty or something, I have R2A, but R2L is better, but donīt think is a software issue.
And about the pixelation in the camera, in the daylight the camera is very good, but when there is low or very low light, the camera is not that good and the photos become pixelated. That is general on some of the camera phones in the market and thatīs what the flash (real flash) is for not LEDīs like the one on the K700. But the LED itīs a very good feature in the K700 because it has helped me get photos with good light.

i got my k700i yesterday,so as you do i took a bunch of shots last night much to my disapointment.The shots were turning out like nokia ones (bad and pixelated).So whats this software gear,does it make the photo quality better?how do you get it?

i have just had my k700i replaced, it i have now got that line you are talking about going across my screen in camera mode, i didn't have it on my faulty one, so does this mean i have another faulty k700i, and the camera was faulty on the last one and the picture quality was crap, this replacements picture quality is crap, compared to pictures posted on the internet, did you resolve your problem, is it a fault on the k700i, should i send mine back again?
i have firmware R2L001

The red line shouldn't be there. The picture quality should be as good as those posted here or other K700 sites. You definitely should have that replaced ASAP.

really annoying me, i got a contract with this phone a week ago, my the camera was really poor on it compared to my other camera phone the samsung e700, i thought nothing of it, thinking the camera was generally poor on the k700i, so continued to use it for 2 days, other faults appeared, mp3's were corrupt, played distorted, video playback failed, the phone froze when i called someone, the list goes on!
so i sent it back to be replaced, 4 days without a phone, got the new replacement today, first thing i did was switch it on and check the firmware , which is R2L001, tried the camera and saw that line..started swearing, tried the camera, pretty poor.
so put it on charge, and have had it on charge for a while now, i couldn't resist the tempation, so had to have another look, tried the camera mode and i couldn't see it, so either it was me restarting the phone, or putting it on charge, possibly it could be that the battery was low, and hadn't been charged, so the screen lighting wasn't at it's best, so the line could of been visible, when normally it is not, as now the screen is brighter, and the battery is more charged, you cannot see it, maybe it is like a triniton screen, you get in monitors, you have the line for the triniton screen, and that is only visible on a light or white background...anyway it doesn't seem to be visible anymore, so i will keep an eye on it!
i will try the camera out properly when its fully charged...

That line thing is really strange. Since I had my K700i I never noticed any red line across the screen even if the battery was low. Everything's fine even if I didn't upgrade my firmware.

i will have to check it after, and keep an eye on it!
i have just been looking at the thread with the pictures took from the k700i and i'm amazed, some really good pictures took, can't wait to try this one out properly to see if mine is as good, as the last k700i (faulty) i had, was terrible, i'm going to have to test it in some good lighting conditions to see how good it is...hope its ok!

cheers and yeah i will do, i would like peoples opinions on the quality of them, i know people can't comment on them accuratly, as they don't know the lighting conditions they were took in, but they can get a general idea if the cameras ok!
