i have the same Genie setup on payasugo using the 915000 dialup number.

i assume you have the data account setup ok and can surf via wap with no problem.

i used to have a yahoo.co.uk email account setup on the phones email settings but haven't tried it for a while as i now use the wap page version.

if you have an ISP account with Pop settings you can use these on the phone, only problem is you usually need to enter the IP address instead of the 'pop3.YourIspName.co.uk' and thats for incoming and outgoing servername.

i'll try my Yahoo settings and tell you if you can still send and receive without signing up and paying Yahoo, in the mean time let us know if this all makes sense to you and how far you are currently with your Genie setup...brb.

I'm on Vodafone.
My incoming from my Yahoo account works at least... haven't tried sending from Yahoo yet.

off the top of my head I think the incoming server was pop3.mail.yahoo.co.uk

and outgoing
smtp.mail.yahoo.co.uk

I..... think.......

rob is now setup to send pictures via Yahoo...well done m8.

for anyone else interested you have to enable 'Yahoo Delivers' before you can access your account from external Pop clients and if your on Genie you have to type in the IP address instead of the server names:

Here are the basic server settings for Yahoo! Mail:

Incoming Mail (POP3) Server: pop.mail.yahoo.com - change to 216.136.173.10

Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com - change to 216.136.173.12

Account Name/Login Name: your Yahoo! Mail name (your address without the "@yahoo.com")
Email address: your Yahoo! Mail address (i.e., user@yahoo.com)
Password: your Yahoo! Mail password

My Yahoo works with the names... one thing to remember is that usually if you signed up and said you was in England then you will get a .co.uk address instead of .com... this probably also applies to the server names.

@arnoldc: hi! I'm trying to sign up with Hotpop. What do i have to do to view the random serial number (authorization code) in HOTpop.com? I cant confirm authorization without this. Thanks in advance.
