bad screen resolution...you cannot compare with s700 s screen...

@ Clearday: The screen resolution is 176x220 and thats very good for that size. My girlfriends display is amazing clear and sharp. It's excellent.

maybe its not the screen at all..... its ur batt!! try exchanging ur batt... coz low power batt, can effect the brightness/sharpness of the screen... maybe tat will help ya out.....

It's usual, dude.
All manufacturer always improve their displays of a seri of a phone month to month.
My K700i which was bought in june has more yellowish white than my boyfriend's that was bought in august.
It happens in many phones. Z600, T610, S700 and even 6600 have improved the display from each series' older versions.
Anyway, I just bought S700i 2 days ago. The screen is so perfect except for one thing: it has more yellowish tone than my K700i.

My girlfriends Z1010 is from the same production R3A, but it was built 3 weeks before mine. How can it be that there are such changes in the display quality?

Displays vary due to:
- Physical nature of the display,
- Batch it was manufactured,
- The software driving it.
A little story:
I have a number of my ex-office T68m's and T68i's all purchased at the same time (t68m's first, obviously T68i's second). I noticed that the T68m screens varied in quality and brightness amongst themselves. When comparing the T68i's purchased later, I noticed the T68i's were whiter and brighter.
I then upgraded all the t68m's software to the latest software - R8A or something. I didnt believe my eyes when I noticed that the t68m's had way better contrast and colour saturation than the t68i's! Of course, the t68i's were whiter and brighter, but seemed washed out in comparison!
