Yes, but it's not a regular data cable, and not a regular software.
If you check in this forum how difficult is for people to upgrade their P900 to the P910 you will see that it's not an easy task.
The same process must be used to crack the P9x00.
Anyway, with this process you always loose everything in the phone, so your data is not at risk.

If some1 steals a phone it's already illegal, so he won't be worried about using illegal sw and cables, right? My only point is phone and sim locks are useless against thievs, since it's a piece of cake to remove it, and I thought this was the answer that topic poster wanted.

it depends on the phone also,
i know with most SE phone a simple hook up to either SE fighter or Divx, will reset the lock code, this does however as somebody pointed out reset all the user settings, a theif isnt going to be worried about this though are they? it saves them time!!
Nokia DCT4 handsets though are a diff more difficult from what i can gather, take my 6230 for example. everytime i key lock it i have to enter my security code to unlock it, and from what i can gather either with a griffin box, prodigy box etc, you still cant reset the sw,
maybe im wrong but thats what ive gathered?
