I found a way...
only if you own a Nokia though..
Set the borthday app in the nokia calendar,
Send it via Infrared.
It registers in the K700i as a recurrent alarm !
Dont know why you cant set these stupid things manually though..
Stupid init?

....i think he's really saying, if you got a nokia (or any other phone apart from K700), you dont need anything else (outlook or B/T dongle) to set 'recurrent' appointments - alllllllllll other mobile just do it!

And??? My point of view is that anyone that buys a k700 should get a bt dongle...and for people in that situation, the problem of setting recurrent events just doesnīt exist...what do i care about using other phones to send the reminders from???

....and chrisdaniels solution (point of view) of using another mobile is just as easy, and just as valid - and since your solution relies on having/buying/installing Outlook, having/buying a B/T adaptor & being next to the PC that has this equipment when you set a recurring appointment - chris's solution is prolly even 'more' valid, since you will 'never' be more than 10 feet from a mobile that can do it, on behalf of the K700

wow...that is so logical...to have another phone just to send appointments to my k700!!!
Listen, i use bt and Outlookīs calendar everyday, at work and at home, and so does lots of advanced k700 users, so why the f....should i care about using another phone for sending reminders??? Thatīs just plain dumb...

@Arez
YOU use Outlook/BT-dongle..
I got news for you, not everyone else does just because you do. Besides, any tip that is useful (which the Nokia tip is) is/might be of help. Suppose i have a Nokia at home but no BT-dongle and i absolutely hate MS Outlook?
Better cut down on caffeine before lunch and chill a little?
Cheers.

The number of people that have quick acess to a nokia or other phone to send the recurrent reminder everytime it is is needed is ridiculous compared to the number of people that have a bt dongle along with the k700...and you can use other programs besides Outlook to do it, like Lotus Notes, FMA, etc
If you didnīt noticed, the guy who started this thread asked the easier way to set birthday alarms in the k700, without having to set them every year - well, THIS IS THE BEST WAY
