@mmsman - I definitely AGREE with you here dude. But if we can just make notice that ALMOST all of the fones being manufactured TODAY are being done in CHINA - for the very obvious reason of . . . very cheap LABOR cost! How I wish that SE can have it fones manufactured AGAIN in Sweden (Ericsson) just like before. But if given a choice here, I would still GO for fones which are Japan made rather than China ones . . . even to say that Quality Control is still in PLACE !

And my T610 is made in Malaysia, batt made in Korea and finished in Malaysia.

With multi national enterprises it doesnt count where your device was made, but the level of quality control the brand have on them.

BTW, if you're postin from a PC, like me, and have and Intell processor, you have a chance it comes from Costa Rica.

Oh yeah and I just FORGOT to mention that - Malaysia was Ericsson's next manufacturing of fones-venture back then, as my T10 was made in Malaysia . . . I am just wodering why SE have it S700 model fones-some manufactured in Japan, for the very obvious reason that China's labor is cheaper, so goes with the P800 - France !

But it doesn't mean that they're worst or better, they just came from different production lines, and maybe on the inside all are made of chinesse parts.

@asterix - Surely mate . . .as SE will NOT compromise it's fone's QUALITY over cheap labor cost! As, Quality Control is STILL being taking note of . . . everytime newly manufactured fones comes out of the assembly line - product testing, such as, drop test etc.

So why bothering where the phone came from, or it's just curiosity?

Some are just meticulous when knowing where the integral parts of their fones were made, say, like the motherboard . . . Just like the case when assembling a PC! But SE I guess should have installed very durable parts in their fones - to LAST, but I just have doubts that majority of which are already . . . China/Taiwan made !

Mmmmm, but some of the SE phones are lasting a while, like T68's.

The sticker inside the phone said "Approved by iDA for use in Singapore" and not made in anywhere. Anybody know where it could be made?
