Having thought about it I can see it being incredibly difficult!
The EyeToy is not portable as it only works when connected so u can't go outside. So u can only take pics in the house or through your window!
Next u would need pics of the car from every angle!
It's then gonna be very hard to make those fit a 3D shell! Also how does it know what shape the shell should be!!?
Then we come onto handling & performance etc.

The more u think, the more unlikely it becomes!

@ mikLSP i hear what you're saying, and i dont quite understand if they mean import real cars via the eyetoy or just the real images of cars, but what good would the pictures be? i think they are just blowing smoke out of their virtual exhaust pipes. however its a good concept though. The earliest we could see PS3 is by Christmas 2005. However, we should see Sonys next generation game console at that date or other next gen game consoles by the end of next year. Currently none of the big three console makers has announced a new game console or any release date for it.

Sony games consoles are always expensive to begin with, but this time they will have to be alittle bit more cautious with their price exspecially as Mircosofts new console will be hot on their heels. Microsoft learnt the hard way when they originally released the Xbox at an over inflated price point so they would be silly to make the same mistake twice IMO, and so would Sony. Ahhh...great news. Don't forget GT on the PSP. That would be so great to have it on a portable system. Can't wait!!
